60-Day UGC NET JRF Strategy (History + Paper 1)

🎯 60-Day UGC NET JRF Strategy (History + Paper 1)

📚 Target: Study 7–8 Hours Daily

Cracking the UGC NET JRF (History) requires smart planning, conceptual clarity, regular practice, and disciplined revision. This 60-day strategy is specially designed for students who have already completed the syllabus once and are now focusing on revision. Since completing the entire syllabus from scratch takes 3–4 months, students should prepare short handwritten notes during their initial preparation for quick revision. Daily practice of Previous Year Questions (PYQs) is equally important because they reveal question patterns, improve conceptual understanding, and enhance speed and accuracy.

📝 Phase 1 (Day 1–20) focuses on complete syllabus revision. Dedicate 4 hours to History, 2 hours to Paper 1, 1 hour to PYQs, and 1 hour to revision. Revise the History syllabus in sequence—Ancient India, Medieval India, Modern India, World History, Indian National Movement, Post-Independence India, Historical Method, and Historiography.

📖 Phase 2 (Day 21–40) is the most important stage. Solve the last 15 years of PYQs, revise weak topics, and prepare concise notes on Thinkers, Books & Authors, Acts, Committees, Congress Sessions, Governor Generals, Viceroys, Historians, and Important Years.

📊 Phase 3 (Day 41–50) is dedicated to full-length mock tests. Attempt at least two mock tests daily and spend more time analyzing mistakes than attempting tests. Focus on accuracy, time management, and weak areas.

🔄 Phase 4 (Day 51–60) is reserved for final revision. Revise only high-weightage topics, factual tables, timelines, and your handwritten notes. Follow a disciplined daily timetable, use standard reference books, and maintain 80%+ accuracy. Consistency, smart revision, PYQs, mock test analysis, and confidence are the key ingredients for achieving UGC NET JRF.
