🌍 6-Month Strategy to Crack UGC NET JRF (Geography)

🎯 Target: Study 7–8 Hours Daily

Cracking the UGC NET JRF (Geography) requires smart planning, conceptual clarity, consistent practice, and disciplined revision. This six-month strategy helps you complete the syllabus systematically while improving accuracy through regular PYQs and mock tests. Before beginning your preparation, understand the complete syllabus and prepare short handwritten notes alongside your studies for quick revision in the final months.

📚 Month 1 focuses on Population Geography, Settlement Geography, Cultural, Social, and Political Geography. Build strong fundamentals and revise your notes every weekend.

🌎 Month 2 covers Physical Geography, Climatology, Oceanography, Environmental Geography, and Geographic Thought. Give special attention to models, theories, and conceptual topics while practicing unit-wise PYQs.

🇮🇳 Month 3 is dedicated to Indian Geography and Geographical Techniques, including maps, GIS, Remote Sensing, statistical techniques, agriculture, transport, industries, and disaster management.

💹 Month 4 focuses on Economic Geography, Agricultural Geography, Industrial Geography, Transport & Trade, and Regional Development. Revise important models, thinkers, and theories regularly.

📝 Month 5 is the Revision Phase. Solve the last 15 years of unit-wise PYQs, analyze every question carefully, and revise important diagrams, models, GIS techniques, and high-frequency topics.

🎯 Month 6 is your Final JRF Phase. Attempt at least two full-length mock tests daily, analyze your mistakes, strengthen weak areas, and revise only your short notes.

⏰ Maintain a disciplined daily routine, dedicate time to both Geography and Paper 1, and aim for 80%+ accuracy in mock tests. Remember, consistent revision, PYQs, mock test analysis, and confidence are the four pillars of JRF success.
